Center Court Tennis is a nonprofit organization that focuses on inclusion and the celebration of God’s unique design for every person. We believe that anyone can learn, play and enjoy the wonderful lifetime sport of tennis. We are excited to bring a special, play-based tennis curriculum to Athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities in Northwest Arkansas.
What We Offer
We offer Sunday afternoon clinics in the Spring and Fall and week-long camps in June and July. Our clinics are led by tennis teaching professionals and Volunteer Coaches from the community who promote a fun and loving environment. Each clinic focuses on hand-eye coordination and agility drills, a stroke
of the day, point play, and fun games to promote tennis skills. Our Athletes start at age 8, and
there is no age maximum.
Adaptive Tennis
“Adaptive Tennis” is a concept designed to meet the athlete exactly where they are no matter their disability or ability. We introduce fitness, technical tennis skills and teamwork during our camps that can be modified with a variety of equipment, ball compressions, and skill-appropriate games. Our curriculum encourages social interaction, basic athletic skills, hand-eye coordination, balance and especially a love for tennis!
Our Impact
Center Court has taught tennis to more than100 athletes since starting our program in 2021. We have seen more than 220 different members of our community come out to encourage, teach and play alongside our athletes. Each year, we are able to take a group of Athetes and Coaches to compete in the Special Olympics of Arkansas State Games and Unified Games! We feel the sky is the limit!
